Job Summary

The Assembly Technician, under the direction of the Production Manager, will primarily be responsible for ensuring high standards of workmanship and efficiency are met while assembling various products for shipping. This position will ensure outputs meet production schedules, safety and quality standards, as well as customer needs. This role will also ensure proper use of the required personal protective equipment at all times. The Assembly Technician must possess the ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner and ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Job Duties

Ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency

Ensure outputs meet production schedules, safety and quality standards, as well as customer needs

Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment at all times

Mark, record, and report defective products

Maintain a clean working area free from dirt and debris between tasks and at end of day

Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity, product quality, and safety

Bolt, screw, clip, or otherwise fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipment

Position and install parts, sub-assemblies, and accessories using hand tools, power tools, and other aids like overhead hoists

Assist in manually packing products into bags

Job Requirements

Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner

Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing

Ability to lift objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time

Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands

Demonstrated ability to operate material-handling equipment

Ability to work individually as well as part of a team

Demonstrated time management skills
