Position Overview:

As an Assembly Operator in the Aerospace Industry, you will play a crucial role in the assembly process of aerospace components, ensuring that they meet strict quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities:



oPerform assembly operations according to established procedures and specifications.

oRead and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to understand assembly requirements.

oAssemble aerospace components using hand tools, power tools, and precision equipment.

oInspect parts for defects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.

oConduct basic troubleshooting and make adjustments as necessary to ensure proper fit and functionality of components.

oMaintain a clean and organized work area to uphold safety and efficiency standards.

oCollaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and identify areas for improvement.

oFollow all safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:



oHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in a relevant field preferred.

oPrior experience in manufacturing or assembly, preferably in the aerospace industry.

oProficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.

oStrong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity for operating hand and power tools.

oAttention to detail and accuracy in assembly tasks.

oAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.

Other Requirements:



Applicants will be screened for the requirements of Canadian Controlled Goods Program and must pass relevant criminal background checks. Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English. Ability to work primarily in a manufacturing / production environment where employee will be required to stand, walk and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time. Ability to work in an environment with exposure to moderate noise levels, dust, varying temperatures, hazardous materials and compliance to safety precautions. Compliance with proper use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working in or travelling through an environment requiring strict adherence to safety protocols. Able to work as part of a small team in a fast paced, dynamic work environment. Flexibility to working a rotating schedule of days and evenings (shift work). Capable of lifting and moving materials up to 25 pounds. Good vision (corrected as needed) to discern fine details.
