Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Asphalt Paving/Rakerman to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the successful completion of asphalt paving projects, requiring a blend of technical skills and hands-on experience. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating heavy equipment and have a strong understanding of paving processes, contributing to the overall quality and efficiency of our operations.

Duties

Operate heavy equipment such as loaders and pavers to prepare and lay asphalt. Assist in the digging and preparation of surfaces for paving. Perform asphalt finishing tasks as needed to ensure smooth surfaces. Collaborate with team members to build and form asphalt structures as required. Maintain equipment by conducting routine inspections and performing minor mechanical repairs. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure project timelines are met.

Requirements

Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with loaders and pavers. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment. Familiarity with asphalt finishing and forming techniques is preferred. Ability to dig, build, and pave effectively while adhering to safety standards. Commercial driving experience is a plus but not mandatory. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing project needs.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
