Overview

We are seeking a passionate and creative Visual Arts Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various visual art forms and a commitment to fostering creativity and artistic expression in students of all ages. This role involves designing and delivering engaging art lessons, encouraging students to explore their artistic potential, and providing constructive feedback to help them grow as artists.

Duties

Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to different skill levels and artistic interests. Teach a variety of visual arts techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression. Provide individualized support and guidance to students, helping them refine their skills and develop their unique artistic voice. Organize art exhibitions or showcases to display student work and celebrate their achievements. Maintain an inventory of art supplies and ensure the classroom is well-equipped for lessons. Collaborate with other instructors to create interdisciplinary projects that integrate visual arts with other subjects.

Experience

Previous teaching experience in visual arts or related fields is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of various art techniques, materials, and tools. Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students. A portfolio showcasing personal artwork as well as examples of student work (if applicable).
