Faculty/Department Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance Unit Media, Art, and Performance-Visual Arts Employee Group URFA CUPE 5791 Job Family Category Sessional Number of Vacancies 1 Position Summary
The course helps students discover concepts and terminology necessary for discussions of art making, art criticism, and art theory. We will consider historical and contemporary ideas about aesthetics, power, race, gender, semiotics, materialism, and other ways to read art. Our aim is to apply theory to the practice of art criticism.
Position Requirements
The successful candidate should possess a Master's or Doctoral degree in a related field. University teaching experience is preferred.



All applicants are required to provide details outlining how they will facilitate WEB-based instruction. Familiarity with URCourses and Zoom must be illustrated.
Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As per URFA Collective Agreement Status Other Work Hours
ARTH 301 is currently scheduled for Wednesdays from 1730-2015 - remote synchronous delivery.
