Job Summary

We are seeking a creative, passionate, and patient

Afterschool Art Workshop Instructor

to lead fun, hands-on art workshops for students in

Grades K-8

. The ideal candidate has experience working with children and a strong background in

oil painting, acrylic painting, and watercolour techniques

.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and lead engaging, hands-on art workshops tailored for young learners. Teach techniques using a variety of mediums, including

oil, acrylic, and watercolour

. Foster a supportive, encouraging, and relaxed creative environment. Organize, set up, and clean up materials before and after each workshop. Maintain a safe, positive, and respectful atmosphere for all participants.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in

Art Education

,

Fine Arts

, or a related field (preferred). Ability to work in both

North York

and

Markham

locations. Strong technical skills in at least two of the following:

Marker, acrylic painting and watercolour

. Previous experience leading workshops or teaching children in an art setting (highly desirable). Ability to plan flexible, age-appropriate activities that adapt to different skill levels and learning styles. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. A portfolio showcasing personal artwork (samples of previous student work are a plus). Passion for nurturing creativity in young learners. Reliable transportation to travel to workshop sites. Patient, energetic, and positive attitude.
