About:

For more than twenty-five years, visual artist Maya Foltyn has been devoted to the fine arts of painting, drawing and photography. She has earned two Bachelors of Fine Art, one in interior and industrial product design in 1979 and the second in painting in 1982 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland. She studied painting and drawing at the Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna, Austria before moving and exhibiting in New Zealand. She now lives and works in Toronto, Canada. Her art is a part of the prestigious Government of Ontario Art collection and is currently displayed in the provincial governor's office. Maya is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Sales Assistant to support her with selling her vast catalogue of completed artwork. Please be aware that this opportunity offers commission-based pay only. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in art sales. Commission is set to 25% of sales and Maya has over 200 pieces that are ready to go to their forever home/owner (ranging from small to extra-large in size).

Responsibilities:

In collaboration with Maya, implement strategies to increase exposure of Maya's catalogue of completed artworks to generate sales Identify potential customers through methods like networking, and social media to build a pipeline of leads Assist with other relevant initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

Sales driven approach. Creative mindset with a strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Freelance

Pay: $200.00-$2,000.00 per week

Expected hours: 1 - 20 per week
