Art Director

Vancouver, BC, CA, Canada

Job Description

Oh, hello there creative one

Funday is a full-service & fully-remote agency made up of people who are friendly and hardworking in equal measure. Inspired by an unrelenting belief that having fun is integral to creativity, we like to say we're all about fun and brains. You know, that sweet spot between where pretty and performance meet and where insight and imagination produce the entirely unexpected? That's where we thrive.

Art Director

As an Art Director, you'll report directly to an Associate Creative Director and work with clients and teammates scattered across the globe. Your role will be varied and change from day to day. We need someone senior enough to guide a junior on an account but also ready to roll up their sleeves and get hands-on, sometimes as the only creative on a project. We're a small group, so everyone contributes, with the support of strategists, technologists, and producers who share your passion for great work.

You are a maker and a storyteller at heart, endlessly curious, and you use your craft to bring creative solutions to life. You lead projects into fun and inspiring creative territories. You know the FUNdamentals well enough to bend and break the rules. You're comfortable forging your own path, but you also know when to bring others in. You're culturally connected and bring ideas from the world around you, not just a Pinterest board. You know how to design a brand and campaigns that feel fresh and full of energy. You can communicate ideas that spark excitement and push teams and clients to see new possibilities.

Ideas that feel unique, unforgettable, and alive wherever people meet the brand.

Project Execution

Lead art direction across TV spots, print, campaigns, and brand installations. From mood boards to storyboards to production roll-out, you'll play a key role in perfecting every detail. Take feedback in stride, refine the creative, and make sure every campaign or experience wows and drives results.

Unleash Your Craft

Get your hands dirty, designing everything from the basics to bold, complex campaigns. Bring your A-game to every project, elevating the work and ensuring top-notch quality.

Come be a Funatic

We believe you won't perform at your best if you're not having fun. And you can't have fun if you're not performing. We believe that this creates the best client + agency relationships, and is the best way to make great work.

We believe in respect, inclusivity, kindness, equity, and equality. We want to make a positive impact. We believe that collaboration is the fun part of being at work. We strive to create a culture in which "we" is more important than "me".

Apart from loving terrible fun puns, we're growing - which means you'll have a chance to make your mark and grow with us. We're also almost 100% remote, and that might not appeal to everyone - but if you value flexibility, it's perfect.
