The Art Director will lead the creative strategy and art direction for our corporate Organigram brand as well as our recreational portfolio of brands. This leadership role within the Marketing department will involve the development of strategic creative concepts as well as overseeing the creative output for a team .
A proven track record in campaign design, brand building, production, print, and digital graphics will be crucial to the marketing function's success. Your leadership and creative expertise will shape the direction and quality of our creative output, ensuring that our corporate and recreational brands are visually compelling and aligned with our overall marketing objectives.
In addition to a strong creative skillset, we are seeking an experienced cross-functional collaborator with organizational savvy. You will work closely with brand managers, and cross-functionally with the trade marketing, digital marketing and corporate communications teams to ideate and create best-in-class materials that drive business results.
Key Responsibilities
DESIGN
Develop and execute strategic design solutions for our corporate and recreational brands supporting business priorities and key marketing objectives
Present concepts internally as required and coach your department through the regular presentation of creative presentations to internal clients
ART DIRECTION
Coach, mentor and provide feedback to the design team to produce industry-leading creative work
Provide clear/objective critiques of design work during production
Working closely with the studio project manager delegating projects to appropriate team members to maximize resource deployment
Ensure that ideas/designs are produced in a timely manner, on budget and with the degree of quality promised
Encourage innovative and out-of-the box creative ideas with the design team
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
Perform annual employee performance appraisals, bi-weekly one-on-one's and mentor employee progress between appraisal cycles including identifying and developing top performing employees for growth opportunities
