Balloonfis??h is looking for a strong swimmer to add to our little school. Someone who\'s as excited about building this business as we are. Someone driven by tenacity and curiosity who isn\'t afraid to make waves in the spirit of making things better. What\'s the Role? We\'re in search of a new permanent creative addition to our school. While we work with dozens of specialized freelancers, our in-house team tends to wear a lot more hats. We don\'t expect you to wear all of them, but the more the merrier.

• Graphic design/art direction for advertising campaigns and marketing materials.
• Brainstorm creative ideas and concepts, and see them through to polished, complete designs.
• Design for a wide variety of digital media, as well as physical print applications.
• High-level advertising copywriting.
• Experience with animation for online, live action videography and photography would be huge assets.
• Work together with designers, writers, creative directors, developers and strategists, both in-house and freelance.
• Participate in client strategy sessions, briefings and presentations.

Who are You? Our dream addition to the aquarium looks a little something like this. We\'re less worried about years of experience or training than we are about capabilities and attitude, although experience in advertising is a definite asset.

• You\'re a creative person. To us, that means you get excited by turning constraints into opportunities. You know just about every challenge has a solution, and it\'s rarely a straight line.
• Design is your first language, but we\'d love it if you can write, too, and aren\'t afraid to get behind a camera to take photos or shoot video.
• Advertising is creativity that has to work for a living. You feel that in your bones. Strategy, design, writing, media... it all has to work together, and you\'re comfortable talking about any of it.
• You understand the difference between art and design. You can balance good looks with smarts - your work is attractive and eye-catching, but delivers a clear, compelling message, too.
• You\'re not afraid to dig for an idea. You don\'t stop at the seed, but push that idea... question it, stress test it and beat it up until you\'re sure it can stand on its own.
• You can own a project to completion. You\'re not a ?my part\'s done, you\'re on your own? kind of person. You prefer to nurture, evolve and grow a concept or design until it\'s ready to fly the nest.
• Feedback is something you crave. You can defend and rationalize your work, but you know how to incorporate new ideas and directions without losing momentum (or sleep).

As a Balloonfish employee, you\'ll have flexible work hours, location and vacation time, as well as a health benefits package and an employer-matched pension plan. The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year plus performance bonus (depending on experience and capabilities).
