An introduction to the study of the Visual Arts. Lectures focus on contemporary art practices and objects, design elements, media and methods, and the meanings and contexts that inform the making and reception of art works. This is not a studio or an art history course.
Position Requirements
The successful candidate must possess an MA/MFA in Visual Arts (BFA for current UofR MFA Visual Arts students), and evidence of a contemporary creative, research, and/or curatorial practice in Visual Arts. University teaching experience is preferred.



NOTE: This course is an asynchronous online delivery. The capacity to teach online using URCourses and Zoom, with previous remote and online teaching experience, are an asset. Applicants, in their cover letters, should provide details of their familiarity with Moodle (or other Online Learning Environments, and Zoom).
Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As per URFA Collective Agreement Status Other Work Hours
