In this position you are a member of the Arena Setup crew. It is fascinating to see and be a part of the building transition from being a Hockey Arena to a Concert Hall or a Trade Show Venue all in one shift. Your role will include all aspects of this conversion process. We have on-call opportunities available in Victoria (Save-On Foods Memorial Centre).

Job Specifics:

• Responsible for working as part of a team to convert and prepare the arena for events. This includes installing ice covering, staging, and risers.
• Physical work/heavy lifting is common and required
• Assist with maintenance and upkeep of the building's equipment such as dasher boards, risers, ice covering, and other miscellaneous equipment
• Most shifts are evenings and overnights

Qualifications and Experience

• Related experience desired but not necessary
• Physically demanding
• Knowledge of staging and production equipment an asset
• Available to work flexible hours, including daytime, evenings and overnights (mostly overnights)
• Must wear Safety Eyewear(supplied)

Certifications, Licences, or Registrations

• None required.
• First Aid and WHIMIS preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent walking, including stairs
• Repetitive lifting and carrying
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Up to $25/hr starting wage
