Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Operations to join our team at Dynamic Hospitality and Entertainment Group. In this role, you will oversee the operational aspects of our venues, ensuring that each event is executed flawlessly while maintaining our high standards of service and quality. Your leadership will be crucial in driving business growth and enhancing our operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Successfully execute events from start to finish
Thorough check of all deliveries, setup and supplier assistance prior to events to ensure proper execution of client and company's final BEO
Promote a positive team work environment as well as two-way communication
Manage and direct a team of setup crew, servers and bartenders
Hire and train staff according to staffing requirements and event schedule
Work in tandem with colleagues to promote a positive atmosphere while successfully executing events.
Accountable for the day to day liaison with various departments including FOH and BOH to ensure a smooth operation
Attend weekly production meetings with FOH & BOH to review and discuss upcoming events
Comply with the Liquor Laws of Ontario
Perform other related duties as assigned by VP
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of banquet manager experience
Outstanding attention to detail and ability to make good judgments when faced in high stress situations
Excellent customer service skills.
Demonstrates self-confidence, energy, positivity and enthusiasm.
Proven leadership ability in a team environment
Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communications skills both oral and written when dealing with guests and employees both internally and externally.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, co-operatively within a team setting and as well as the ability to plan and multi-task in a busy environment.
Must be able to execute events from start to finish
Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook, quick to learn new software
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Proven experience in operations management within the hospitality or event industry.
Strong project management skills with a track record of successful event execution.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing diverse teams.
Business development acumen to drive growth initiatives.
