About Us:
The Hockey Diversity Alliance (HDA) works to make hockey more diverse and inclusive by providing free programs for youth in underserved and new Canadian communities across the GTA.
Role Summary:
As an Arena Coordinator, you will be the on-site point of contact during our grassroots hockey programs, ensuring smooth registration, equipment coordination, and communication with parents and players.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up registration table 30 minutes before the first skate session.
Sign in players, manage duo-tangs, and apply attendance stickers.
Direct players to assigned change rooms.
Note minor equipment issues on-site.
Monitor attendance and report absences to the Program Manager.
Prepare certificates for attendance or achievement as needed.
Submit attendance records and session recap by the next day.
Skills & Qualifications:
Organized, reliable, and punctual.
Strong communication skills.
Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets).
Enjoy working with youth and promoting an inclusive environment.
Commitment:
Weekly shifts (varies by location):
1-hour skate + 30 min before and after
2-hour skate + 30 min before and after
3-hour skate + 30 min before and after
Some arenas run
Tues-Wed
and
Thurs-Fri
. Combined shifts are ideal.
