Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Architectural Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in architectural design and drafting, with proficiency in various software tools. This role involves collaborating with architects and engineers to create detailed drawings and plans for residential and commercial construction projects. The Architectural Technician will be instrumental in ensuring that designs meet client specifications, building codes, and industry standards.

Responsibilities



Develop detailed architectural drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and other CAD software. Collaborate with architects and project managers to understand project requirements and objectives. Prepare schematics, blueprints, and construction documents for residential and commercial projects. Utilize SketchUp, NavisWorks, and Civil 3D for 3D modeling and visualization of designs. Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project feasibility. Perform analysis of design elements to ensure compliance with regulations and standards. Assist in project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation using Microsoft Project. Create presentations using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) for client meetings. Maintain organized documentation of all project-related materials and correspondence. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.

Qualifications



Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and NavisWorks. Strong drafting skills with a keen eye for detail in blueprint reading. Familiarity with residential and commercial construction processes. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills in English; bilingual in French is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for documentation and reporting purposes. Solid math skills for accurate measurements and calculations related to design work. Strong analytical skills to evaluate design effectiveness and compliance with regulations. Leadership qualities with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
