Job Description

Magh Engineering is seeking a full time Architectural Draftsperson/Technician or Technologist in our established and growing company located in Mississauga. With projects all over GTA and Ontario ranging from tenant Fit outs, home renovations, single family houses, townhouses and stacked townhouses, apartment buildings, mixed use buildings as well as commercial and industrial projects. What we require:

• Minimum College diploma in Architectural Technician, Technology or equivalent
• Junior drafting technician - 1 to 3 years work experience
• Intermediate drafting technician - 3 to 5 years work experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Revit and Sketch-up experience considered an asset
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal / reading skills are mandatory
• Understanding of building construction methods
• knowledge of the Ontario Building Code
• Ability to research municipal zoning bylaws for specific projects
• Communication with the city plan examiners, apply permits online

Duties Include:

• The candidate will be required to clean, set-up and maintain backgrounds according to the established procedures and CAD standards
• Produce working drawings including Existing and proposed, site plan for approval submissions and permit drawings.
• Site measuring of existing homes and commercial spaces
• Liaise with consultants and trades at times
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Experience:
