Job Summary


We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architectural Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will contribute to the design and development of residential and commercial construction projects, utilizing advanced drafting and modeling skills. The Architectural Designer will be responsible for producing accurate schematics, blueprints, and 3D models, ensuring designs meet client specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities



Develop detailed architectural drawings, schematics, and blueprints using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SketchUp, and other design software. Create 3D models and visualizations with tools like NavisWorks, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign to effectively communicate design concepts. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure design accuracy and project alignment. Conduct analysis of site plans, building codes, and zoning regulations to ensure compliance in all designs. Assist in project management tasks including scheduling using Microsoft Project and organizing project documentation with Microsoft Office Suite. Read blueprints and schematics accurately for both residential and commercial construction projects. Participate in client presentations by preparing professional visual materials and delivering clear communication of design ideas. Support construction teams by providing detailed drawings and specifications necessary for manufacturing or building processes. Maintain organization of project files and ensure timely completion of deliverables while adhering to deadlines.

Experience



Proven experience in architectural drafting or design within residential or commercial construction environments. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, along with Adobe Creative Suite tools including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator. Strong knowledge of building codes, blueprint reading, schematics, and construction processes. Bilingual abilities in English and French are a plus for communicating with diverse teams or clients. Excellent analysis skills combined with effective time management to prioritize tasks efficiently. Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong communication skills--both written and verbal--and organizational capabilities. Familiarity with project management tools like Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Pay: $17.20-$59.28 per hour
