Oke Woodsmith Building Systems Inc. is seeking a full-time Architectural Designer to join our team. Oke Woodsmith is a family-owned firm that has been designing, building and renovating award-winning custom homes since 1984. We are well known for our designs and quality craftsmanship. A successful candidate would have the ability to communicate with clients on a professional level to design and create a home/space that aligns with their wants and needs while also maintaining an Oke Woodsmith standard. Strong technical skills in AutoCAD or a similar software is essential. Responsibilities:

• Design, prepare and coordinate drawings and documents in accordance to client specifications, budgets and project timelines with the support of the Project Manager
• Site visits and required measurements to create accurate designs
• Maintaining a good working knowledge of applicable building codes and municipal by-laws
• Permit drawings and applications
• Truss review and orders

Requirements:

• BCIN certification
• A portfolio of completed designs and past work
• Proficient in AutoCAD or a similar software
• A working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code
• Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to maintain strong working relationships
• Able to work on multiple projects concurrently with excellent time management
• The ability to create and design functional and visually appealing homes and spaces
• Valid Ontario driver\'s license
