Job Description

Overview

We are seeking experienced and safety-focused Tree Trimming Arborists / Line Clearance Arborists (also known as Utility Arborists or Linemen with tree trimming qualifications) to join our team. This physically demanding role combines advanced arboriculture skills with utility line clearance work, ensuring power line reliability while preserving tree health where possible. You will work at heights near energized power lines, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols and electrical hazard awareness.

Responsibilities

Perform tree pruning, trimming, and removal using industry-standard techniques Operate bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment safely for elevated work Utilize rigging techniques to safely lower large branches or trees during removal or maintenance Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including planting, mulching, and soil management Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations during all operations Assist with site assessments to identify hazards and determine appropriate tree care strategies

Skills

Proficiency in rigging techniques for safe tree removal and pruning Experience operating bucket trucks and bucket operation skills for elevated work Knowledge of GIS applications related to landscape planning and tree inventory management Strong background in landscape maintenance and horticulture practices Ability to operate heavy machinery safely in outdoor environments Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions Effective communication skills for teamwork and client interactions

Qualifications

Minimum 2-3 years of professional tree climbing and pruning experience (utility line clearance strongly preferred) UTT, CUA or CLM certification required New Brunswick Chain Saw Safety or equivalent New Brunswick First Aid Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical/drug screen Ability to work at heights (60-100+ ft) and lift 50+ lbs repeatedly Comfortable working near energized conductors (MAD - Minimum Approach Distance training provided) Must be local to Woodstock, Florenceville or Gagetown New Brunswick

Wage dependent upon certification and experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
