Climbers

are responsible for maintaining, preserving, inspect, pruning and shaping, remove trees / shrubs to ensure they're in a healthy, safe and attractive condition.

Details:

Remove and rig trees. Climb in a safe competent manner. Experience with Pruning, Shaping, Rejuvenating, Deadwooding, Trimming and Stump Grinding. Experience with climbing and bucket truck operations Fell and bucks with chainsaws safely. Properly maintain, prepare, operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more. Including but not limited to: installation of bolts and cables - training will be provided to according to work standards and procedures. Ability to push, pull and lift heavy weight, working at heights, rigging safety and harness safety principles. Be able to handle instructions and do the job accordingly as directed verbally or written. Be able to ask questions and learn quickly on the job. Ability to operate and run bigger trucks - driving and backing up. Motivate individuals to work hard and complete a task as a team Expected to be a crew leader, Be an effective communicator and team player. Commit to learning and growing with the company's future needs and aspirations. Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture or Landscaping and with experience in climbing.

Requirements:

Candidates

MUST

have a current provincial valid license with minimum 3 years driving on license and 3 years clean driver's abstract CSA Approved Chainsaw Steel-toed boots with steel shanks and chainsaw protection, chainsaw pants. Must be willing to

work 8 - 10

hour days in season Monday to Friday. Emergency/ storm work after hours and/or weekends may be required but not enforced

Qualifications:

2 - 3 plus years experience with proven leadership skills running a crew Air Brakes - Q Endorsement preferred but not required. Willingness to learn and take the test after training. Experience in the industry; lead climber, crew leader, using a Bucket Truck . Experience is

Physical Capabilities:

Physically able to perform strenuous and demanding tasks for the duration of the shift. Heavy lifting, drag brush, clean up moving logs and wood around, climbing and be comfortable using tools & equipment at High Heights Ability to lift, carry 50 lbs and more

Do you have a clean Drivers Abstract for the past 3-5 years ? This will be needed for Insurance requirements to drive the commercial equipment. Do you have experience in Leadership and Running a Tree Crew as an experienced Arborist? Do you have experience in Pruning, Shaping, Removals, Stump Grinding, Bucket Truck? You must have experience as an Arborist as this is not an entry level position.
