Modern Angels Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team in providing care in a private home setting. The role involves supporting a client with Dementia who requires assistance with daily activities and mobility. This includes light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, cooking, home organization, and exercise. The ideal candidate will have experience with clients with Dementia and need mobility assistance and will bring patience, kindness, and flexibility to the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the client with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, and home organization.
Provide support with mobility and exercises.
Provide companionship and emotional support to ensure a positive and nurturing environment for the client.
Ensure the home is safe, clean, and organized.
Document client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate team members.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support any personalized care needs of the client.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in senior or home care, especially with clients who have Dementia and require mobility assistance is preferred.
Ability to provide compassionate care in a home environment, ensuring safety and comfort for the client.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to develop trust and rapport with the client and their family members.
Organized, reliable, and able to multitask in a family-oriented setting
