We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive AR and Accounting Coordinator to support our finance and operations team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in bookkeeping and collections, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys contributing to business efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Collections
Follow up on receivables via phone, mail, and email
Professionally handle customer inquiries and disputes
Provide detailed account reconciliations and customer statements
Bookkeeping
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Reconcile accounts and bank statements
Handle inter-company account reconciliations
Maintain fixed asset register
Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closings
Operations Support
Maintain up-to-date supplier price lists
Investigate price variances
Ensure selling prices are approved and accurately updated in the system
Qualifications
3+ years of bookkeeping and collections experience
Proficiency in
QuickBooks
Experience with
Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
(or similar ERP) is an asset
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and changing environment
Working Conditions
May occasionally be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (e.g., office supplies, boxes)
Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer
Comfortable working in a screen-based environment
Capable of analytical thinking and problem-solving under pressure
