Assist with spawning and vaccination of fish
Incubation, picking and packaging of eggs
Record keeping and recording data for research projects
Daily husbandry chores of feeding and monitoring fish
Water quality maintenance
Harvesting fish for processing
Processing fish, 1.5 days per week is spent in the processing plant
Quality Control inspections to ensure all company standards are achieved
Sorting and grading fish within appropriate size categories
Maintaining a clean work area
Participation in the after hours, on-call, alarm rotation
Qualifications:
PASSION FOR FISH
Background in aquaculture or marine biology
Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under time constraints
Physically fit to stand, lift, carry 50 lbs., and to do repetitive work in cold, wet environment, both indoors and outdoors
Good communication and interpersonal skills in English are required
Self-starter and able to work independently
Ability to work efficiently at repetitive tasks
Attention to detail and cleanliness
Computer experience \xe2\x80\x93 Excel, email, data entry
Valid Driver\xe2\x80\x99s license
