Oskar Construction is looking for a motivated Apprentice Stone Mason to join our masonry crew. This position is ideal for someone interested in learning the stone masonry trade. You will work under experienced masons to assist with preparing materials, installing stone, and maintaining a safe and organized job site while developing hands-on skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist lead masons with stone installation, cutting, and setting.
Prepare mortar, grout, and other materials as required.
Load, unload, and move stone and masonry materials.
Help with measuring, leveling, and aligning stonework.
Use hand tools and power tools under supervision.
Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.
Follow all safety rules and wear proper protective equipment.
Qualifications:
Interest in learning the stone masonry trade (previous experience is an asset).
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials.
Willingness to take direction and learn from experienced masons.
Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred).
Compensation:
Hourly wage based on experience.
On-the-job training and skill development.
