LM Plumbing is seeking a motivated and reliable Apprentice Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance under the supervision of experienced red seal plumbers. You will learn the trade while gaining hands-on experience with various plumbing systems within the required code of Canada.

Required Skills:

To be a successful apprentice plumber, you need skills in: problem-solving, physical dexterity, communication, understanding plumbing systems, customer service, identifying and repairing leaks, basic blueprint reading, safety procedures, and the ability to handle various plumbing tools; essentially, the ability to diagnose issues, perform installations and repairs while adhering to safety protocols and interacting effectively with clients.

Technical skills breakdown:

Knowledge of plumbing systems and codes

Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Installing and repairing pipes, fixtures, and drains

Detecting and fixing leaks

Physical skills:

Manual dexterity for handling tools and fittings

Physical stamina to work in various positions

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects

Problem-solving skills:

Diagnosing plumbing issues

Identifying root causes of problems

Developing appropriate solutions

Communication skills:

Clear communication with clients

Effective teamwork with other plumbers

Explaining technical details to customers

Customer service skills:

Professionalism when interacting with clients

Building rapport and maintaining positive relationships

Safety skills:

Understanding and following safety protocols

Proper use of safety equipment

Awareness of potential hazards

Responsibilities:

Assist plumbers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems

Learn to troubleshoot issues with pipes, drains, water heaters, etc.

Maintain and clean tools and equipment

Adhere to all safety regulations and standards

Complete required training and certifications as directed

Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of plumbing tools and materials

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Ability to follow instructions and take direction

Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

We offer on-the-job training with hands-on experiences

Paired with an experienced red seal plumber for mentorship

Encouragement to pursue any certifications or qualifications required for your trade

Compensation:

Based on block level completions rates starting at 18$ - 28$ per hour.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Casual, Apprenticeship

Pay: $17.98-$27.98 per hour
