is hiring forApprentice Pipefitter positions
based out of the Grande Prairie area.General Requirements:
Minimum
1 year of experience
working in gas/oilfield environments. Ability to take direction, follow written and verbal instructions, and work independently. Competent in the use of various hand and power tools and equipment. Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal. Awareness of safety risks and ability to assess and mitigate hazards. Physically capable of performing demanding tasks, including working at heights or on elevated platforms. Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods. Availability for shift work and extended hours when required.Qualifications:
Preference given to
registered apprentice pipefitters
. Merit Energy Solutions is also willing to sponsor suitable candidates to register as apprentices.Valid Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
certificate is required.Valid Intermediate/Standard First Aid with Level C CPR
is required.Valid H2S Alive
certificate is required.Aerial Work Platform (AWP)
andFall Arrest
certifications are preferred.Wage:
$24.00 - $40.00 per hour (based on year of apprenticeship, experience, and qualifications)Job Types:
