We are looking to add a locksmith to our team for a full-time, permanent position.

Duties include, but are not limited to

:

Cut keys, and disassemble, repair, and/or replace worn tumblers/cylinder; Open and repair commercial and home locks, lockouts,; Disassemble door locks, padlocks and High-security locks; Providing assistance to our customers and meeting their security needs. Repairs or replaces damaged components of entrance and exit doors. Assists clients in unlocking doors when keys are lost Installs and repairs electric strikes and electronic security hardware. Examines locking mechanisms and fabricates keys to replace lost or damaged keys. Pin lock cylinders Cut new keys for clients using key cutting machines Cleans maintains, adjusts, calibrates, and services equipment used in the performance of duties. Maintains key and lock inventory Maintains monthly tool inspection logs in the locksmith shop

Education

Secondary School Diploma OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.

Requirements

2 years experience in a relative field is the minimum requirement; Ability to work both in a team and individually; Possess a valid driver's license; Ability to work independently and self-lead; Locksmith certification is an asset. Able to provide exceptional customer service Think outside the box to create inventive solutions to our client's needs

Asset

Experience with MS-Office suite and exhibit adaptability to various computer software;

Experience in reading and understanding floor plans and various construction drawings;

Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS).

Locksmith experience is an asset

Salary: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
