Overview

We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to join our team and gain hands-on experience in electrical systems within construction and industrial settings. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to develop skills under the guidance of experienced electricians, working on diverse projects that include commercial and industrial electrical installations. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in electrical work, safety-conscious attitude, and a willingness to learn technical skills essential for a successful career in electrical trades.

Duties

Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on construction sites and industrial facilities. Use hand tools, power tools, and low voltage testing equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and installation tasks. Support in wiring low voltage and high voltage systems following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Help with framing carpentry tasks related to electrical installations where necessary. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and OSHA regulations. Assist in the setup of electrical components according to schematics and construction plans. Participate in training sessions to improve knowledge of electrical codes, blueprint reading, and construction practices.

Requirements

Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is preferred but not required. Experience with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprint reading, and electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters is advantageous. Knowledge of NEC standards, low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and construction site safety practices is a plus. Construction site experience including framing carpentry is beneficial. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately. Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces as needed. Willingness to learn from experienced electricians and participate actively in on-the-job training. Must have reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver's license is preferred.
