Position Summary
Are you skilled in project management, event coordination, and providing top-notch administrative support? If so, we'd love to hear from you! The Centre for Research, Innovation, & Scholarship (CRIS) at JIBC is seeking an Administrative Coordinator who can bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for facilitating impactful research and innovation.
In this role, you will work closely with the Director to manage the daily operations of CRIS, which includes supporting the JIBC Research Ethics Board (REB). Your work will focus on streamlining processes, supporting research projects, and managing the administration of these areas.
As part of your day-to-day duties, you will handle key stakeholder communications, schedule meetings, prepare agendas, maintain detailed records, and ensure seamless administrative coordination across all divisions. You will assist in the management of research proposals, funding applications, and contracts, while also providing administrative support to the JIBC Research Ethics Board (REB). This includes receiving requests for ethical reviews, maintaining highly confidential files, tracking approvals, and coordinating meetings with REB members.
Your role will also involve event management, where you'll oversee strategic planning, coordination, and execution of events like the annual Applied Research Day. You'll be responsible for everything from budget tracking and communications to logistical support and post-event reporting. Additionally, you will support office management tasks, such as onboarding new staff, managing office supplies, processing invoices, and handling travel arrangements for the Director and the team.
