Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Applications Specialist to join our dynamic team at Prime Automation. The Applications Specialist will play a pivotal role in understanding customer requirements, designing tailored automation solutions, and supporting the implementation and integration of our products into client operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and customers to analyze and understand project requirements. Develop customized automation solutions that meet client specifications and maximize operational efficiency. Provide technical expertise and support during the pre-sales and post-sales phases, including product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution proposals. Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and prototypes to validate proposed automation solutions. Assist in configuring and testing automation systems to ensure functionality and performance meet customer expectations. Document project requirements, specifications, and outcomes accurately. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve product offerings and service delivery.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of relevant experience in applications. Proven experience in automation engineering, applications engineering, or a similar role within the industrial automation sector. Strong knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMI (Human Machine Interface) systems, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), and industrial robotics. Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and propose effective solutions. Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
