Job Description

The aim of the Global Business Service Unit (GBSU) Canada is to deliver day-to-day services to investment and corporate banking units and their clients, supporting and accelerating their transformation.

GBSU distinguishes itself through the speed of its agile transformation, the promotion of a strong technology and data-driven culture, streamlined decision-making processes, and the adoption of an industrialized approach that leverages both transversal teams and those aligned with specific business units.



This is a central and dynamic position, where you will provide technical and functional support for applications used by trading and risk analysis teams based in New York.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with a solid understanding of ITIL best practices, are essential, as you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining critical applications.

Your future duties and responsibilities




What will be your day-to-day?

You will be part of an IT feature team (Development and Support) working closely with a trading desk. You will collaborate with the development team to deliver the best possible service to traders and help prevent or resolve major production incidents. Each morning, you will perform system checks to ensure production stability before financial markets open. Throughout the day, you will manage the user ticket backlog using Unity. You may also be contacted directly by users during live production incidents, where your problem-solving skills will be key to troubleshooting and restoring applications. You'll have the opportunity to learn best practices in production support and gain financial industry expertise from experienced professionals. At the end of the day, you will perform evening checks to ensure systems remain stable before the Asian markets open. In addition to your daily responsibilities, you'll also have the chance to further develop your technical expertise by contributing to automation projects using tools such as Elasticsearch, Kibana, scripting, bots, Autosys, and more.

Skills and Qualifications

We've learned that when our support teams understand the technology behind our products, they deliver better service. That's why we expect all team members to demonstrate a basic level of coding ability. To qualify for this role, you must be able to write SQL queries and successfully complete a basic coding test in the programming language of your choice.



It is a plus if you have:

At least 5 years of experience as an Application Support Analyst A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience A proven track record of continuous improvement and automation initiatives



Languages

English and French

Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written, are required, as this role involves regular collaboration with colleagues and partners based in the United States.



Additional Information

In compliance with U.S. Federal Securities law applicable to this position, candidates will be required to undergo enhanced background screening, including the collection of fingerprints by a third-party vendor designated by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
