The Application Analyst in the Digital Transformation section for Water Services is responsible for supporting and configuring key business systems. This includes IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS), UKG (Kronos), and other platforms used by Utility staff to manage water assets, workforce scheduling, and timekeeping activities related to water, wastewater, and stormwater services.
As the Application Analyst, you will deliver value by working with other team members to support and enhance the use of applications, GIS systems, and data related to Water Services. Primary duties include:

Perform system configuration of various work and asset management systems, manage changes and upgrades. Resolve operational issues by troubleshooting, researching, and testing. Design and configure end to end solutions that improve the Asset management and Workforce Management systems for the Utility. Identify data quality issues and ensure procedures and validations are in place to promote the quality of information stored in the systems. Develop and maintain workflow and information models' that describe the business process and related information flow. Develop custom procedures, reports and dashboards using Power BI, Business Objects, and other data analytical tools. Collaborate with business leads and subject matter experts to provide effective solution that resolve customer pain points and/or move business objectives forward. Provide end user support, training and documentation for various work and asset management systems and mobile devices. Support enhancement projects, communicate with clients to gather business requirements, coordinate test activities, collaborate with team members to develop and implement solutions. Liaise with IT to extend client solutions with integrations and customization.


Qualifications

A degree in Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field and at least 5 years of related experience. Advanced knowledge and experience on IBM Maximo Asset Management and/or UKG (Kronos) products, Azure DevOps, ARIS products would be considered an asset. Experience with Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI), Geographical Information System (GIS) solutions and scripting languages would be considered an asset. Advanced technical training in Structural Query Language (SQL), Power BI and/or SAP Business Objects is an asset. You have a customer service focus, the ability to develop trusted relationships, and the ability to work strategically as well as operationally.

Workstyle:

This position may be eligible to work from home for at least part of the time as one of several flexible work options available to City employees. These arrangements depend on the operational requirements of the role, employee suitability, and are subject to change based on operational needs and corporate direction.

Compensation: Pay Grade 11 $44.76 - 59.84 per hour
Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day
work week, with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.

Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
