Job Overview



We are seeking a passionate and responsible teacher to join our team, delivering high-quality instruction and tutoring for AP/IB courses to high school students. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' academic journeys--helping them build solid subject foundations and achieve excellent results in AP/IB exams. Candidates with multi-subject teaching capabilities will be prioritized for hire, with flexible cooperation models and class assignment arrangements available.

Key Responsibilities



Design and deliver lessons aligned with AP/IB curriculum frameworks and students' learning objectives, with flexible scheduling (online or in-person modes available via negotiation). Conduct classes through systematic lectures, interactive discussions, audio-visual presentations, and other engaging teaching methods. Identify students' personalized learning needs and develop targeted tutoring plans for those requiring additional support. Provide timely feedback on students' in-class performance, assign and grade small amounts of tailored homework, and track short-term learning progress. Offer flexible online after-class Q&A sessions to address students' questions, and create simplified support plans for academically challenged students. Stay updated on the latest AP/IB curriculum reforms, collaborate with the team to update basic teaching materials, and participate in small-scale subject-specific teaching and research meetings (online participation permitted).

Requirements & Qualifications



Education & Major

: Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant subject (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, English, Economics). Demonstrated in-depth familiarity with the AP/IB curriculum system, assessment criteria, and key exam focus areas for the assigned subject.

Teaching Experience

: A minimum of 3 years of AP/IB teaching experience in the corresponding subject. Preference is given to candidates holding IB official certification, Ontario Teacher Certification, or other international education-related qualifications.

Availability

: Flexible schedule (weekends and evenings preferred), with the ability to commit to a stable monthly teaching hour requirement (negotiable based on individual availability and scheduling needs).

Core Competencies

:
? Mastery of the subject's knowledge system, with the ability to independently design lesson plans tailored to students' learning needs.

? Strong classroom management and communication skills, adept at quickly motivating students' interest in learning.

? Proficiency in multimedia teaching tools (e.g., Zoom, PPT) and the ability to adapt to both online and in-person teaching scenarios.

? A high sense of responsibility, efficiency in completing teaching tasks, and willingness to collaborate with the team on basic work requirements.

Preferred Qualifications



Multi-subject teaching capabilities (generalist skills). Teaching experience in AP/IB programs at renowned international schools or training institutions. A proven track record of guiding students to achieve AP high scores (4-5) or IB high grades (6-7). Willingness to accept short-term intensive teaching arrangements (e.g., vacation bootcamps).

Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
