Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate AP Economics Teacher with expertise in AP Macroeconomics and AP Microeconomics. The ideal candidate will bring concepts to life, help students master rigorous AP content, and foster a supportive environment for advanced learners.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with AP curriculum standards. Teach AP Macroeconomics and AP Microeconomics, tailoring instruction to students' levels and individual learning needs. Develop AP prep materials and resources as needed to support exam readiness. Stay familiar with AP curriculum topics by analyzing past AP exams and identifying key concepts and trends. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve understanding and performance.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Economics Experience teaching AP Economics, including AP Macro and AP Micro is preferred. A minimum of 2-3 years of teaching or tutoring experience is preferred. Experience in developing AP preparatory materials is advantageous. Proven ability to tailor instructional strategies to meet diverse student learning needs. Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Possession of a valid BC teaching certification or its equivalent is an asset. Ability to commute between Richmond and Vancouver locations as needed.

Position Details:

Job Type: Part-time Hourly Rate: Starting from $25 per hour, commensurate with experience

Work Schedule:

Teaching on an on-call basis. Primarily scheduled Monday to Friday during after-school and evening hours. Weekend availability may be required. Schedule adjustments may occur during school holidays based on student demand.
