520, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. The salary will be prorated based on FTE.

Required Qualifications and Experience

A full-time (1.0 FTE) Accounting/Marketing/Economics position consisting of Accounting 11/12, Entrepreneurship and Marketing 10 and E-Commerce 12 is available at Sentinel Secondary School. This position replaces a teacher on leave. The successful candidate must have the following:


Evidence of appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching Accounting, Marketing and Economics Education, as well as Information Technology. Hold a valid BC professional teaching certificate. Commitment to and demonstrated experience using and integrating technology with the curriculum. Knowledge of the Ministry of Education Prescribed Learning Outcomes (PLOs) and Integrated Resource Packages (IRPs), as well as providing evidence of the use of criterion referenced assessment and Performance Standards. An ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies that can accommodate the learning needs of all types of learners. A proven ability to develop a positive learning environment in the classroom and evidence of strong organization and classroom management skills. A commitment to and successful experience working collaboratively in a team setting.
