The AP & AR Advisor reports directly to the Controller.
Job Summary
: The AP & AR Team manages all accounts payable and receivable job functions for Birchwood. The AP & AR Advisor plays an integral role in the full cycle process and ensures that all payables and receivables are processed efficiently and effectively. AP functions include (but are not limited to): posting invoices, reconciling statements, monitoring internal cheque requests, and dealing with vendors. AR functions include (but are not limited to): daily deposits, posting daily deposits and POS transactions, and reconciling clearing accounts. Additional weekly and monthly duties exist around reviewing accounts for accuracy and maintaining robust records.

Qualifications:
Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable experience is considered an asset
Experience using CDK is considered an asset
Completed post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting considered an asset
High attention to detail, proven time management, and organizational skills
Proven ability to apply critical thinking in all problem-solving situations
Comfort leveraging technology for most day-to-day functions
Proficiency working with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other applications
Exceptional communication skills & ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
Valid Class 5 driver's license and own transportation to work are required
