Job Description


:We are offering an opportunity for an AP Accountant to join our team in the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry. The role is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and will be performed entirely remotely. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Accounts Payable (AP) by ensuring the accuracy of AP subledgers through cross-verifying and reconciling entries
  • Maintain regular communication with vendors to address any queries, discrepancies, or other related concerns
  • Reconcile vendor statements, ensuring all discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner
  • Handle the processing of expense reimbursement reports, ensuring transparency and accuracy
  • Prepare, verify, and distribute cheque payments for various expenses
  • Manage intercompany payments, ensuring timely settlements
  • Provide clients with timely, precise, and comprehensive financial data and reports
  • Ensure that invoices are accurately assigned to the correct buildings and approvers
  • Adhere strictly to the signing authority and approval policy, ensuring all expenses are validated before processing
  • Process VISA statements, ensuring all transactions are accurately reflected
  • Oversee online bill payments, particularly for utility bills
  • Assist in the preparation of month-end deliverables, ensuring all data is up-to-date
  • Utilize software such as Yardi and Microsoft Excel to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tasks.
Requirements:
  • Possess a Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in an Accounts Payable (AP) role within the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry
  • Proficient in using Yardi property management software
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines effectively
  • Good written and verbal communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues
  • Willingness to continually update knowledge of industry trends and improvements in the accounts payable process.
