Relevant du Directeur technique artistique, le titulaire du poste est responsable du d\xc3\xa9veloppement et de la maintenance des syst\xc3\xa8mes d\'animation, du rigging et de l\'int\xc3\xa9gration des animations et des outils utilis\xc3\xa9s par l\'\xc3\xa9quipe d\'animation.

Ce qui comblera tes journ\xc3\xa9es :

  • D\xc3\xa9velopper, tester et maintenir des syst\xc3\xa8mes d\'animation en collaboration avec les animateurs, les programmeurs de jeu et les autres membres de l\'\xc3\xa9quipe;
  • Fournir le soutien technique sur les outils d\'animation et l\'\xc3\xa9diteur de jeu;
  • Aider \xc3\xa0 la conception, \xc3\xa0 l\'int\xc3\xa9gration et \xc3\xa0 la validation des animations;
  • Faire l\'int\xc3\xa9gration des animations dans le moteur de jeu;
  • Collaborer avec les animateurs pour assurer la conformit\xc3\xa9 des fonctionnalit\xc3\xa9s d\'animation aux contraintes techniques, esth\xc3\xa9tiques et de gameplay;
  • Rechercher et partager ses connaissances sur les moteurs de jeu et les bonnes pratiques existantes au sein de l\'industrie;
  • Aider \xc3\xa0 la planification des t\xc3\xa2ches d\'animation.
Ton profil ressemble \xc3\xa0 ceci :
  • Formation coll\xc3\xa9giale ou universitaire en arts, multim\xc3\xa9dia, 3D ou \xc3\xa9quivalent;
  • Minimum trois (3) ann\xc3\xa9es d\'exp\xc3\xa9rience dans l\'industrie du jeu vid\xc3\xa9o;
  • Forte compr\xc3\xa9hension de l\'int\xc3\xa9gration d\'animations : programmation nodale, arbres d\'animation et \xc3\xa9diteurs de jeu;
  • Solides comp\xc3\xa9tences en animation de personnages et compr\xc3\xa9hension des principes d\'animation;
  • Bonnes connaissances de Maya;
  • Capacit\xc3\xa9 de documenter et d\'expliquer son travail de mani\xc3\xa8re claire et concise;
  • Forte compr\xc3\xa9hension du rigging, du skinning et des technologies li\xc3\xa9es aux personnages;
  • Connaissances sur les moteurs de jeu Unreal, Unity, et/ou propri\xc3\xa9taire;
  • Connaissances de langages de programmation ou de scripting tels que Python, C#, MEL;
  • Exp\xc3\xa9rience d\'au moins une livraison de jeu;
  • Ma\xc3\xaetrise de la langue fran\xc3\xa7aise et anglaise (\xc3\xa9crit et oral);
  • Disponible pour voyager \xc3\xa0 l\'international au besoin.

Reporting to the Studio Technical Art Director, the incumbent is responsible for the development and maintenance of animation systems, rigging and integration of animations and tools used by the Animation team.

What will fill your days:
  • Develop, test and maintain animation systems in collaboration with Animators, Game Programmers and other team members;
  • Provide technical support on animation tools and game editor;
  • Assist in the design, integration and validation of animations;
  • Integrate animations into the game engine;
  • Collaborate with animators to ensure that animation features comply with technical, aesthetic and gameplay constraints;
  • Research and share knowledge on game engines and best practices within the industry;
  • Assist in the planning of animation tasks.
Your profile looks like this:
  • College or university education in art, multimedia, 3D or equivalent;
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in the video game industry;
  • Strong understanding of animation integration: nodal programming, animation trees and game editors;
  • Strong character animation skills and understanding of animation principles;
  • Good knowledge of Maya;
  • Ability to document and explain work in a clear and concise manner;
  • Strong understanding of rigging, skinning and character technologies;
  • Knowledge of Unreal, Unity, and/or proprietary game engines;
  • Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Python, C#, MEL;
  • Experience with at least one game delivery;
  • Fluency in French and English (written and spoken);
  • Available to travel internationally as needed.
