Votre r\xc3\xb4le : Vous travaillerez en \xc3\xa9troite collaboration avec les \xc3\xa9quipes d\xe2\x80\x99animation, du pipeline ainsi que du rigging en apportant des solutions techniques \xc3\xa0 un large \xc3\xa9ventail de d\xc3\xa9fis de production. Votre objectif premier sera de maximiser l\xe2\x80\x99efficacit\xc3\xa9 des artistes dans le d\xc3\xa9partement de l\xe2\x80\x99animation. Dans le cadre de vos fonctions, vous collaborerez directement avec le superviseur d\xe2\x80\x99animation, les leads ainsi que le superviseur CG pour montrer le chemin \xc3\xa0 suivre afin de d\xc3\xa9velopper des outils d\xe2\x80\x99animations :

• D\xc3\xa9velopper, d\xc3\xa9ployer et maintenir les outils de pipeline dans le programme Maya, afin d\xe2\x80\x99aider nos \xc3\xa9quipes \xc3\xa0 r\xc3\xa9pondre aux besoins de production imm\xc3\xa9diats et futurs;
• Tester les outils actuels et nouvellement d\xc3\xa9velopp\xc3\xa9s pour assurer une qualit\xc3\xa9 op\xc3\xa9rationnelle et superviser leur utilisation efficace par les artistes;
• \xc3\x8atre un point de contact principal pour l\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9quipe de rigging et celle du pipeline afin de faciliter les r\xc3\xa9ponses aux besoins de l\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9quipe d\xe2\x80\x99animation;
• Fournir des informations et un soutien \xc3\xa0 l\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9quipe du pipeline dans le d\xc3\xa9veloppement et le d\xc3\xa9blocage d\xe2\x80\x99outils et de logiciels;
• R\xc3\xa9soudre les probl\xc3\xa8mes dans le logiciel Maya, et communiquer avec tous les d\xc3\xa9partements pour garantir la r\xc3\xa9solution de probl\xc3\xa8me.

Vos exp\xc3\xa9riences et qualifications :

• Minimum 3 ans dans le d\xc3\xa9veloppement d\xe2\x80\x99outils d\xe2\x80\x99animation;
• Exp\xc3\xa9rience additionnelle en tant qu\xe2\x80\x99artiste en Animation, rigging et/ou layout;
• Exp\xc3\xa9rience sur un environnement de production de t\xc3\xa9l\xc3\xa9s\xc3\xa9rie, film ou jeux vid\xc3\xa9o;
• Exp\xc3\xa9rience dans le d\xc3\xa9veloppement et l\xe2\x80\x99int\xc3\xa9gration d\xe2\x80\x99outils dans un pipeline;
• Forte connaissance de Maya;
• Bonne connaissance de Python;
• Ax\xc3\xa9 sur la r\xc3\xa9solution de probl\xc3\xa8me;
• Comp\xc3\xa9tence en communication sur les aspects techniques et cr\xc3\xa9atifs;
• Habilet\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa0 cr\xc3\xa9er et maintenir des guides techniques.

Atouts :

• Exp\xc3\xa9rience TD dans d\xe2\x80\x99autres d\xc3\xa9partements (lighting, modeling etc.) est un plus!
• Connaissance de Mel (un atout);
• Connaissance de MotionBuilder (un atout).

Your role : You will work closely with the animation, pipeline and rigging teams to bring technical solutions to a wide range of production challenges. Your primary focus is to maximize the efficiency of our artists in the Animation Department. While in this role, you will collaborate directly with the Animation Department Supervisor, Leads and CG Supervisor, to lead the way in animation tools development:

• Develop, deploy, and maintain pipeline tools in Maya, to assist the Animation team with immediate and future production needs;
• Test current and newly developed tools to ensure operational quality, and oversee their effective use by the artists;
• Be a primary point of contact for the Rigging and Pipeline teams, in order to facilitate the needs of the Animation team;
• Provide input and support to Pipeline Development team in software tool development and debugging;
• Troubleshoot scenes in Maya and, and communicate with any intersecting departments to ensure issues are resolved.

Your experience and qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience to develop tools in the animation industry;
• Additional experience as an animator, rigging or layout artist;
• Experience in a production environment TV series, film or video game;
• Experience developing and integrating tools into a pipeline;
• Strong knowledge of Maya;
• Strong knowledge Python;
• Focused on problem solving;
• Good communication skills on technical and creative aspects;
• Ability to create and maintain technical guides.

Assets:

• TD experience in other departments (lighting, modeling etc.) is a plus!
• Knowledge of Mel (an asset);
• Knowledge of MotionBuilder (an asset).
