As an Animal Care Clerk for our Quarantine facility located in Laval, you will be responsible for the well-being of our laboratory animals. Your contribution will ensure the health of our animals, as well as the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.


In this role, primary responsibilities include:


Cleaning the animal rooms; Cleaning the animal cages; Animals handling.
Key Elements


If you possess the following qualifications, we will train you in the rest:


AEP in Animal Care (asset); Able to work physically (lift up to 20 kg, walk, stand, stoop, etc.); Able to follow precises instructions; Passion for animals.
Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test at the expense of the company.


Role Specific Information:


Location: 531 Boul. des Prairies, Laval, QC, H7V 1B7; Transportation: Free parking. Near the Montmorency Subway; Salary: $19/hrs; Annual bonus based on performance; Premiums: Weekends ($2.75), Overtime (time and a half), Holidays (double time); Schedule: Weekdays, between Monday to Friday 7am to 3:15pm. Depending on the needs, you will have to do overtime and weekend rotations; Permanent position as of the hiring, full-time 37.5hrs per week.

About Safety Assessment

Charles River is committed to helping our partners expedite their preclinical drug development with exceptional safety assessment services, state-of-the-art facilities and expert regulatory guidance. From individual specialty toxicology and IND enabling studies to tailored packages and total laboratory support, our deeply experienced team can design and execute programs that anticipate challenges and avoid roadblocks for a smooth, efficient journey to market. Each year approximately 300 investigational new drug (IND) programs are conducted in our Safety Assessment facilities.
