As an Animal Care Assistant, you will be responsible for the welfare of all our research animals. Your success will ensure the health of our animals and the integrity of our preclinical studies.

Work Schedule & Salary:

• Sign on bonus of 1500$
• Salary: 18$/hrs
• Schedules : Monday to Friday from 6h00 to 14h15.
• You will also have to do some rotation on Sunday mornings only, with possibility of overtime

What you will be working on

You will be responsible for ensuring the health and welfare of the animals. You will make sure their environment is clean, that they have food and water and are handled with care.

What kind of person are we looking for

We are looking for candidates with, at a minimum, a Secondary Studies 3. An AEP (Skills Training Certificate) in Animal Care is an asset.

The ideal candidate:

• muast be 16years and older
• must be a team player who enjoys learning and is able to do physical work.
• enjoys standing for long periods of time (4+ hours)
• able to regularly lift 50 pounds throughout the day.
• able to work with animals

About Safety Assessment
Charles River is committed to helping our partners expedite their preclinical drug development with exceptional safety assessment services, state-of-the-art facilities and expert regulatory guidance. From individual specialty toxicology and IND enabling studies to tailored packages and total laboratory support, our deeply experienced team can design and execute programs that anticipate challenges and avoid roadblocks for a smooth, efficient journey to market. Each year approximately 120 investigational new drug (IND) programs are conducted in our Safety Assessment facilities.
