Hiring Unit:
Comparative Medicine and Animal Resources Centre

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the incumbent may perform some or all of the listed general administration functions. These functions are of moderate complexity and the incumbent performs them using established instructions.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors animals\xe2\x80\x99 health and ensures they are properly fed and housed.
  • Observes and records behavioral activity. Assists with experimental procedures.
  • Maintains work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • The list of functions outlined above is representative and not a complete and detailed list of tasks which may be performed by an incumbent. For example, incumbents may be asked to perform some elements of Animal Care Assistant level \xe2\x80\x9cA\xe2\x80\x9d tasks in addition to the above listed functions.
Minimum education, Certification and Experience:

High School Diploma with one year of relevant experience in the field of work.

*The estimated number of work hours is 28 hours per week, must be available to work weekends and holidays*.

Hourly Salary: (AMUSE B) $19.46

Estimated Number of Work Hours per Week: 99 (Part time)
