About the Job:
The Health Care Assistant (Patient Care Aide):

• Assists patients with personal care and activities of daily living
• Assists with patient mobility, transfers and related equipment
• Performs nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse and respiration
• Performs housekeeping activities relating to maintaining a safe and healthy environment
• Observes and report changes in patient progress, symptoms and condition
• Performs clerical duties and other related duties

As the Health Care Assistant (Patient Care Aide), you will work as a key team member of an interdisciplinary team that provides patient care within the hospital. Working under the direction of RN\xe2\x80\x99s and LPN\xe2\x80\x99s, Patient Care Aides follow established care plans and routines to deliver the best patient care possible.

This is a PROJECT TERM SPECIFIC PART-TIME (0.95 FTE) OPPORTUNITY until March 31, 2024.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and evening; rotating from 06:00 to 14:00, 14:00 to 22:00 hours.
About this location/unit:

Creston Valley Hospital (CVH) is a rural site that offers a number of services including a part-time operating room for scheduled day procedures, a 10 bed Emergency department and 20 acute care beds for medical gerontology, obstetrics, pediatrics and palliative nursing care. • Graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant / Health Care Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
