Overview

Happy Hound Dogcare in Nanaimo is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Daycare attendant to provide exceptional care of our dogs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and happiness of our dogs using our daycare and grooming services, ensuring they receive proper attention, hygiene, and safe plays. This role requires a love for animals, and strong customer service and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Providing daily care for the doggies, including feeding, and supervising playgroups. Maintain cleanliness of the facility and common areas by performing regular cleaning tasks to maintain a clean environment. Greeting clients, answering phone and booking appointments. Ensure safety to maintain a safe environment for dogs and staff. As a Dog Daycare attendant, you will be essential in providing excellent customer service and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff. .

Job Requirements

Previous experience working with dogs is preferred not required. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Working in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within others. Compassionate attitude towards dogs. Ability to be active and on your feet most of the day. Ability to physical handle large dogs and move animals safely as needed. Familiarity with various dog breeds, behaviors and play styles. Responsible for maintaining the dog daycare facility, includes cleaning, cleaning up after the dogs, laundry, sweeping and comfortable working in various weather conditions. Reliable transportation to work. High school diploma At least 18 years old.

Schedule

Full time closing position Working till Closing time of 6:30pm 8 hours shifts, 40 hours week Saturday availability
