Their product is part of the digitalization movement of large agricultural farms in Western Canada and the US. Highly focused on R&D, they work on IoT and business intelligence solutions among other things to optimize daily operations to the fullest. They are based in Calgary, but are hiring across Canada, for 100% remote positions!

The challenges awaiting for you

As an Android developer, you will contribute to developing applications that help farmers and the Agriculture industry to produce more with less impact to the environment.

Contributing to the analysis of business requirements, preparing design and implementation recommendations and estimating development effort

Designing, developing, testing and documenting the assigned development tasks which include both new features and support activities

Participating in design reviews, code reviews and architecture evolution discussions

Working as either part of a team or individually as tasks require

Contributing to the continuous improvement in development technologies and practices

Collaborating with other staff in cross functional teams to achieve set goals

Qualifications

Your profile ?

Diploma in Computer Science or any related field

5+ years of experience as Android developer

Mastery of Kotlin, Android Studio, Android Jetpack libs, Firebase, Git, Offline & online data storage & synchronization, RESTful API & JSON structure

Experience with the following technologies is a plus: C#, .NET Core, MS SQL Server, Github Actions, Linux, Server Client Architecture, GIS technologies, iOS

Experience with server-client architectures, database design and complex query development

Excellent English communication and documentation skills
