We are seeking an Analytics Developer Student for our North American Headquarters (NAHQ) district, within our Canadian Buildings Division that is available for 4 months starting in May 2023. This is an in-person opportunity located in our Edmonton office.
As an Analytics Developer Student, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintain reports and dashboards
• Translates business needs into production reports and dashboards
• Acquires data from a variety of structured and unstructured data sources
• Provides technical support and assistance to report and dashboard consumers
• Creates and maintain process and system documentation
• Participates in advanced analytics projects
• Liaises with business, technology, and support teams to ensure business requirements are met
• Identifies and suggest improvements to existing solutions and processes
• Conducts quality assurance / system testing

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a computing science, computer engineering or information management related program
• Keen interest in data management as it applies to business intelligence and analytics
• Ability to quickly gain proficiency in new software
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI is preferred
• Experience with relational databases and SQL is preferred but not required
• Experience with programming languages such as Python and C# is preferred but not required
• In addition to the technical skills listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be flexible, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail and accuracy
