The Analytics Business Partner serves as a link between the Corporate Operational Services Analytics team and key stakeholder shared service groups. This role will assess functional area needs, translate them into operationalized and supported analytics, initiate, and lead related projects, process changes, communications, and training.

Major Responsibilities:

Conduct insightful analysis, include financial and risk based long-term forecasting on business trends and opportunities.

In cooperation with leadership, proactively identify and develop flexible models and simulations for internal and external impact analysis.

Utilize domain expertise to identify data optimization opportunities and process gaps, and generate stakeholder buy-in for action and project development.

Plan and evaluate long term analytics initiatives to support functional area strategy and Corporate Operational Services governing roadmap.

Create narratives and documents that tell the story of your business area to influence senior leadership and executive team decision making.

Assist with standard and ad hoc audit requests to support internal and external compliance requirements.

Influence and drive cross-functional change by partnering with stakeholders across a wide internal network of teams.

Coordinate and participate in business partner optimization activities and cross-training to enhance the capabilities and knowledge sharing within the COS Analytics team.

Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives within Corporate Operational Services and across assigned business units.

Participate in functional team and business unit budget and strategy planning.

Develop data quality scoring and proactively identify root cause issues and proposed mitigations.

Lead the target analysis, development, and governance of assigned departmental and corporate key performance indicators.

Lead functional area monthly, quarterly, and annual business performance management activities to support Executive and Board level requests.

Qualifications & Experience:

Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance), with 8 years related experience or related technical diploma with a minimum of 10 years related experience.

Certification or designation in Data Science, Business Analytics, or similar and relevant field is considered an asset.

Understanding of both the regulated and competitive Alberta energy markets.

Product development, Product management, and Design life cycle experience.

General knowledge of data-mining techniques and use cases.

Extensive experience facilitating senior leadership (including VPs) decision making through data-driven business insights and concise presentations.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite of Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Advanced level capability with common reporting and analytics tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, SAS, Snowflake).

Experience with financial and HR management systems such as Maximo, and Workday is considered an asset.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple and actionable terms.

Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively on teams across ENMAX.

Effective at using influence to inform business strategies and execution.

Adept at breaking down complex analytical data into actionable insights and creating visual representation of financial information.

Must be able to balance multiple priorities with the ability to work under pressure and within rigid time frames.

Salary: Analyst Level D (Current CUPE 2023 rates)

$109,704.14 - $116,568.09 - $123,432.04 - $130,276.15 - $137,140.09

Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
