Marketing Analytics Business PartnerWe are seeking a Marketing Analytics Business Partner to join our Edmonton team who will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our data management pipeline at the enterprise level (supporting all divisions) and contribute to our organizational business planning process. In short, by being bold, we go further.Role Overview:The Marketing Analytics Business Partner oversees execution of the entire data management pipeline for marketing and sales activities at the enterprise level (supporting all divisions), working closely with other key stakeholders, including the MarTech Partner and various Business Analysts from across the organization. They will also play a key role in contributing to organizational business planning processes over a multi-year horizon.The domain, or categories of data, managed by the Marketing Analytics Business Partner, includes market data, product data, sales data, customer data, marketing platform data, and advertising data.Strategic areas of focus for the Marketing Analytics Business Partner, includes (but is not limited to) determining marketing attribution, price-optimization, customer segmentation, marketing platform enhancement (supporting recommender engine development, chatbot enhancements, etc.), and contributing to monitoring outcomes relating to business planning objectives.Qualifications:Education:

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree: In marketing, business administration, statistics, economics, or a related field.
  • Advanced Degree (optional but beneficial): A master\'s degree in marketing, data analytics, or business administration can be advantageous.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in marketing, data analysis, or a related field, with particular experience with marketing campaigns, market research, or data analysis projects.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Statistical Knowledge: Understanding of statistical methods and tools.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SQL, SAS, R, Python).
  • Marketing Knowledge: Understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and metrics.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and solve marketing problems through data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:Business Case Development and Delivery
  • Assessing organizational needs and producing business cases for executive approval specific to data collection, storage, analysis, reporting, and automation.
  • Lead business case implementation, including project planning and scoping, team development, milestone delivery, budget management, and operational delivery.
Managing Data Collection / Intake
  • Defining data requirements, standards, and validation checks to ensure consistency and quality data that can be used for analysis (type, structure, labels, frequency of collection, etc.)
  • Identifying and mapping data sources (internal databases, warehouse, external APIs from various systems, etc.)
  • Identifying appropriate data collection methods, moving towards solutions surrounding automation.
Collaborating to Manage Data Storage
  • Working with the MarTech and Growth Specialist, IT, and other stakeholders, evaluate data architecture, as well as assess organizational data storage needs.
  • Working with the MarTech and Growth Specialist, IT, and other stakeholders, researching and recommending data storage solutions based on business requirements, organizational maturity, security, and other key considerations.
  • Analyze data growth patterns and forecast storage requirements, proactively planning for scalability.
  • Contribute towards disaster recovery planning, including back-up recovery plans, ensuring business continuity.
Data Engineering
  • Collaborating with IT, and various stakeholders, developing ETL workflows and data pipelines, ensuring optimal data movement and transformation throughout the process.
  • Collaborating with IT, and various stakeholders, developing algorithms and scripts to clean, transform, and preprocess raw data into usable formats, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Integrating data from various sources.
Data Analysis, Reporting, and Activation
  • Engaging in exploratory data analysis, analyzing raw data to identify patterns, trends, anomalies, and providing insights into the data landscape.
  • Implementing descriptive analysis to interpret data and uncover relationships, patterns, and trends.
  • Conducting predictive analysis, determining likelihood of future outcomes, by leveraging advanced analytics techniques to analyze patterns, trends, and relationships within datasets.
  • Leveraging various platforms, such as Power BI, to visualize data and build dashboards to tell the story behind the data.
  • Developing business recommendations based on data analysis and reporting findings.
Data Governance
  • Obtaining necessary permissions for data use, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Writing, as well as updating, procedures and process throughout the data management and lifecycle pipeline.
  • Assigning data ownership responsibilities to ensure accountability and stewardship; however. Also serving as a data steward where required.
  • Implement and manage data access controls, defining permissions and restrictions by function and line of business.
  • Establish data lifecycle management standards, developing strategies for data retention, archiving, and deletion, optimizing storage efficiency.
