WHAT WE\xe2\x80\x99RE LOOKING FOR We are looking for an Analytical Development Senior Chemist who will develop analytical methods for our scientific research departments and QC labs using a range of software, techniques, equipment such as LC-MS, HPLC, ICP-MS, GC, ICP and NMR to carry out research and routine analysis. This role is based out of our Mississauga (American Drive) office. WHAT YOU\xe2\x80\x99D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

  • Independently execute and troubleshoot analytical activities such as method transfer, validation, performance qualification, performance verification and stability studies.
  • Conduct investigations in product related issues, compatibility studies, and provide technical expertise in support of deviations and other product related investigations.
  • Perform data analysis, documentation, and reporting of results in accordance with DECIEM Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), cGLP and cGMP.
  • Provide technical support and training to other team members where required on troubleshooting, procedure implementation, instrument set up and method issues.
  • Provide guidance in the design and execution of analytical methods in the developmental stage.
  • Support laboratory growth by developing workflows and standard procedures for new and existing instrumentation and processes.
  • Anticipate/recognize potential problems with equipment and/or supplies, and initiates action to solve or prevent problems.
  • Perform calibrations and routine maintenance of analytical instrumentation as well as data reviews, write protocols, and generate reports.
  • Follow cGLPs, cGMPs and cGDPs, and all relevant internal procedures in all laboratories related activities and ensure compliance with Corporate Quality Systems.
  • Issue lab books for the laboratory staff as per internal procedures and ensures reconciliation through periodic inventory.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in analytical method development and method validation in a GMP or GLP environment OR Academic background (PhD preferred).
  • Expertise in analytical techniques: LC-MS, HPLC, ICP-MS, GC, ICP, UV, IR, and Wet Chemistry and NMR, including Chromatographic Data Systems and laboratory software.
  • Knowledge of DOE principles and software.
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of the Scientific Method and ability to use an organized and methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Knowledge of Project Management concepts.
