ABOUT THE ROLE



We are seeking a detail-oriented Analytical Chemist to join our Quality Team. This role is essential in ensuring the integrity, safety, and compliance of our products through rigorous testing and documentation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in analytical chemistry within a GMP-regulated environment and a strong understanding of regulatory standards.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES



Laboratory Testing & Analysis

Perform analytical testing on raw materials, finished products, excipients and packaging components to determine disposition status. Participate in sampling and testing for environmental control and cleaning validation. Execute and document stability studies, method development, and method validation.
Documentation & Compliance

Prepare and maintain quality documentation including Certificates of Analysis, Specifications, SOPs, and Test Methodologies. Investigate product quality issues, ensuring corrective actions are implemented. Review product deviation report and oversee final product release documentation.
Training & Support

Train and mentor laboratory personnel on SOPs and equipment usage. Conduct GMP and SOP training sessions in compliance with Health Canada and FDA requirements.
Cross Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Production and Quality teams to expedite product release and ensure timely disposition. Conduct routine inspections of premises and critical systems, documenting findings per SOPs.
Special Projects

Participate in site audits. Participate in product development initiatives and support ad-hoc regulatory projects. Contribute to continuous improvement of analytical methods and product quality.

KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE & SKILLS



College diploma in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical technologies, Food Chemistry, or relevant subject with minimum 2-year industry experience in Natural Health Product, Food or Pharmaceutical industries Hand-on laboratory experience (e.g., HPLC, formulating) and familiarity with standard analytical techniques. Experience in the Natural and Non-Prescription Health Product, Food, Pharmaceutical industry an asset. Strong understanding of GMP and ability to follow SOPs with precision. Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills
